Survival Tips

I'm sure this great forum can come up with better survial tip or stories than this one - but if it works use it.

Today's Survival Tip
Next time you are too drunk to drive,
Walk to the nearest pizza shop, Place an order,
And when they go to deliver it, Catch a ride home with them.

LOL, I know someone that did something like that. He started his car, started to drive decided he was too drunk, pulled over and parked his car, walked some place, ordered food, and drove home with the driver.

Unfortunately, when he pulled over and parked his car, it was in the middle of the street, on the double yellow

The cop that came to remove the car, knew who he was, and drove the car home for him, with a suggestion to his wife for him to call for a free ride home next time in a patrol car. Because the next time they found his car in the middle of the street or him behind the wheel after 12:00 am they were not going to be as friendly.

Un-necessary quote snipped

A certain relative managed a similar trick. She was in town for a family event, lives in Jersey.
Went out, got hammered. Managed to drive about 2-3 miles from the bar.
Apparently gave up, parked the car, called a cab from a nearby payphone, and got a hotel room.
Calls the next day from the hotel, asks if we can come get her, and go pick up the car, it's "in some church parking lot."
We find it hours later, impounded.
Seems, she parked in front of the Burger King drive-thru order speaker (after hours, of course).
The next morning, when Burger King went to open, they had to have the car towed.

She was still drunk at 3 PM the next day when she called us. She didn't even know why she was in town. Needless to say, she was quite apologetic when she remembered (was informed) that she had missed my High School graduation because she lost her car at Burger King...
Goofy bozos on that side of the family, I could tell ya more stories...

EDIT: OOOPS! Forgot what site I was on for a second there, tripped the language filter. Fixed.

Some comedian a while back said 'When you're at a bar and figure you're too drunk to drive, don't call a cab...call a tow truck. It costs about the same and your car will be there at home in the morning when you sober up."

Heck, if you're creative enough under the hood, maybe you can get AAA to pay for the tow!

Now that's a funny comment, I'll keep that in my back pocket for a survival tip.Our local CAA driver in a rural town doesn't care what he's towing if your card is for a certian make that's what he's towing according to the bill. lol
