tranny out top or bottom
hey guys i have a 90 bronco 2 and i need to swap the tranny. it has a 2.9 and it is a 4x4 with manual transmission. I almost think it would be easier to pull the motor and tranny and all out the front rather than dropping it. This would be to simply replace it with the same tranny.What do you guys think? I've never done it before. next question is... would a 4.0 and an automatic 2wheel drive transmission fit in place of the manual? Would i need to change anything to bolt up to the transfer case? I really appreciate the help. Thanks.

if your going to do the engine swap then you take out motor and trans from the front.
and yes a 4.0 will fit in it's place . rememberyou take the computer wiring harness from the donor truck. intact if possible no cutting unless you need too. ac system if you want it too.
