Best Lotion
Anyhow...................
There are a couple of things I would recommend since not one single thing works for all people.
Try the afforementioned products, also try getting your hands dipped in wax. It truly does good! Also consider a lotion by a company called "kiss my face".
Hope this helps.
I had so many cuts & skin chafed for so long.. until someone suggested the wax dipping my hands.WOW, what a difference.
Once I went from being in charge of materials & went to Driving I wore gloves as much as possible.
Latex gloves work great in combination with other gloves.
I haven't heard of a lot of these creams people are mentioning but I'm sure they work.
The great thing about this stuff is that within a minute it's non-greasy on your hands, and as a produce driver I needed something that wouldn't cause me to grease up the shifter or steering wheel.
My hands were cracked and bleeding from cold wet produce on cold wet days, until I used this stuff. Got a lot of ribbing from the other drivers (Heyyyy dude, 'corn h*lers lotion'!) until they saw I was the only one with healthy hands, pretty soon the company was stocking it in the drivers room.
The Bag Balm is great too, but greasy. Great for initial emergency repair.

Ten years ago, I lost all the oils in my hands from a combination of over 30 years of harsh soaps, Desert SW climate and going through menopause in my 40s. But the final straw, was getting a fungus from handling moldy hay that made my palms crack, bleed and be sore continually until I got some internal medicence to take care of it. For some reason, my left palm came off worse than my right.
Since then, my palms had gotten better but whenever the weather dries out, the palms will crack from the dryness and itch.
Over the years, I have tried alot of over the counter lotions. Cornhuskers is fine but it dries too quickly from the alcohol it contains. Tried all the other usual ones touted as "the" best. Bag balm burns my hands. Lanolin leaves me with a "sheep tallow" taste in my mouth.
The best lotion I have found is Shea butter. It is made from crushed Shea nuts from Africa. It goes on smooth and is not overtly greasy either. "Bath and Body Works" offers it as well as some other cosmetic outlets. I found it can be bought even cheaper and in larger quantities through music sources as it is used to keep drums from drying out.
But when I am out of it. Vaseline is what I use. My hands just drink the stuff in. I also wear fingerless leather gloves when working now to keep my leathery palms from drying out and cracking. I use them when I lift too.
Reading through some of these posts and seeing other lotions offered, I might look into those.
sounds like a job that will kill you
when i cut or mix cement at work i try not to get too much of that stuff on me
mask is OK but the dust gets into everything... probably why i cough so much

Working with Cement / Concrete is like nothing else.
If you are also subject to water while handling cement related things, it doubles the problems
It takes a person who has worked with it day after day, to really understand what it does to the skin.
