Exhaust Questions?

yeah i have a single flowmaster, i think 2.25" pipes run out the back with 3" tips. it's sounds alright, but i want it to be quite a bit louder, but like the look of them straight out the back. i've looked at magnaflow, borla, flowmaster, etc. what is the best? i saw the new flowmaster hushpower2, i think,on the internet. anyone know anything about that? i want a definetly louder and deeper tone. even if you hear a little drone just cruising would be ok. thanks.

Hoiw about Flowmaster 30 or 40 ??

IMHO, Flowmaster is junk....its good for loud..but i dont believe it will help performance at all..

Borla and Magnaflow showed dyno's that they gained some HP and Torque...I think magnaflow has better performance.

YOMAN!

I was talkin to a guy at the muffler shop and he said that (at least here in so. california) lots of guys are putting an 'aero turbine' muffler on their F series pickups. I haven't made my decision as of yet myself. Had a flowmaster on my toyota tacoma and liked it. Now that I have 5.4L, not sure what to do. Lots of pple say flowmaster does NOT improve HP or milage.

Aero-turbine has a web site.

I have a Flomaster on my 4.6....sounds nice and mellow. If I wanted more hp.....I would trade up to a larger engine.

I also have the Flowmaster 40 on my 4.6L

Didnt think I would like the sound, but its perfect for what I wanted. Nice deep rumble when you hit it, and vitually no sound in cab when you are idling or cruising. Definately feel added get up and go when I hit it at a light also.

The best way to decide what you want is to hear someone elses and go with what you like.
