302 Tach drive distributor

302 Tach drive distributor
Has anyone here ever seen a Ford 302 V8 engine equipped with a distributor that includes a drive in it for a cable driven tach? I know that they existed, but have no idea which engine application included that setup. I've heard they were in some trucks? A good friend of mine has a tach, but not the distributor, and can supply the distributor part number, but has no idea of whether the distributor is even available anymore. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. My local Ford parts store was completely mystified about it, but that isn't necessarily unusual.

I had a Mallory unit in my 67 Vette that I now have in the Chevy 383 that resides in my 53 F100. I know that these are still available from Mallory.
Sorry but I dont know anything about Fords that used tach drives.
