The Tremec 5 spd is from the Cobra R and will handle 350 ft.lbs.
The other 5 spd is the T-5,
330 ft.lbs.
1st. 2.95
2nd. 1.94
3rd. 1.34
4th. 1.0
5th. .63
The T-5 is availble from Ford Motorsports as I'm sure others as well.
Ford calls it the "wolrd Class" super duty.
Has anyone ever installed the BW T56 6-speed ? $2500 will get you
one new, just wondering if anyone evre insatlled them in our old trucks.

I have a 92 F150 with the 5 spd. But the current tranny is whining pretty good in four of five gears, so I assume I am getting near the end of its life. Do you think that the Tremec will bolt up? I have found that to get a hold of a used new one is extremely expensive for the stock one.

don't know about the newer stuff, maybe the guys at standard transmission and gear would be able to tell you, they really were very knowledgeable and friendly.
