Ivan won't get those. He likes his NYLON bias ply tires; Iroks are kinda soft and POLYESTER bias (not nearly as flat-spot prone). I think he likes flat spots.
As far as the Claws go, I wouldn't wish them on anyone....EVEN Ivan. Of the half-dozen sets I've seen with any miles on them they have all cupped badly and the owners said that they were NOISY.

On a THREAD RELATED note, I was up all night thinking about a stump jumper....It's gonna happen. Writing the guy a check on Monday.

Yup, claws are lame. As far as polyester goes, that went out in the 70's with leisure suits as far as I'm concerned

Glad you're keeping them and building a stump jumper. The chev 205 would be the easy way to go...

What can I say . . . I look hot in nylons. My Swampers don't flatspot bad at all, just a little when it's REALLY cold. They actually ride just as smooth as my 33" All Terrains did. Momudder took me to look at a truck with a 48" tire tonight. They were off of a concrete truck but the tread pattern was identical to a ground hawg. I think they'd be the bomb for a pavement pounder and they'd do even better in the mud than the Claw. Of course you do have the 10 lug 22.5" rim to work around.

But rob, how many people are running a 600 *cou900gh* hp 460?? Afterall, Ivan's 460 is "just" adove stock (my flareside probably has more power, lol), and Pro has JUST over 600 (or was that elenty gazillion ???) hp, lol.

I would ****** them axles up in a heartbeat, and they would be prefect for a stump jumper with 35's (or them hawgs).

For the axles, Id just use your Hawgs, only 3.5" more clearance from 35's. Again, as before mentioned, Just Do It. Then you'd have two crunk massive trucks and could actually wheel...
Cody, even if they did offer a 11x9 garage door, Id go with the larger. Rockwells and IROKs wont go in 9'...
MY garage is a tool barn thing (or something of the sorts), thats not exactly mine. I came and conquered, and forced everyone else out (dad and bro). My bro is the one who compalins, now that theres engine parts everywhere, but its a constant battle over metal and wood working between my dad and I.

Thanks for the pm reply Cody. I went out and measured and I think I can get 46" XLs with 10" and have about 5" clearance...But I dont know if I want it 15.5" taller than it is now...on the other hand 40" XLs on 20" rims might look goofy, and 46" would be awesome, for the most part. I dunno...
More meditation on this matter shall I have in the future (Yoda voice)

Ha Ha.
Growing up I was spoiled by my dad's shop which had every tool, torch and welder I would ever need. I moved out in '96 to get some college money from good ol' Uncle Sam. Ever since that 6th of June '96, I have worked in Big Sky Garage (as us Montanans call it) or Fair Weather Repair. Be it in the Army barracks parking lot, my rental house (for 5 years) driveway, or my new house's driveway, I'm still one of those Big Sky Garage employees. Doesn't pay very well, either. I'm hoping to start on a 36'x36' shop this spring with one 12'x10' door and one 8'x8' door as well as starting my own business building custom suspensions and installing lift kits and huge meats.

Hey Cody, if you follow through on your shop/job you should be the first to four link a Rockwell. You could also do 4 corner coilovers. Remember your truck is advertisement...

He sure seems to have a lot of time on his hands for projects, that's for sure. And I'm not going to 4-link the Rockies. Leafs are JUST fine with me. I'll 4-link the '73 since none of the spring perches that are on the axles will line up anyway. Tomorrow's the big day...time to get the ol' checkbook warm.
