Axle swap
Hey, I have a question about a project I'm going to be working on. I just purchased a DANA 44 straight axle off a 78 Bronco. I'm going to build it up and eventually get rid of my TTB crap. Does anyone know if the size of the two axles will work for the swap? I tried to measure both from the tubes, the knuckles, and even the spindles. I keep coming up with a difference of about an inch between the two. I was told the two will swap out with little trouble granted I get all the parts needed. Has anyone tried this before with a Bronco axle to a TTB swap? My main concern is with the spring perches, will they line up? Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
