DOHC, I'm not sure where you picked up the temp for the moly but Moly TDC becomes a factor at around the 300-325F mark. And this is the metal temp, not the coolant temp. Considering that the head temps can[I] reach 700F and the cam lives on top of that, a barrier lube is necessary and this is where moly is the candles on the cake. As most know, I am not a fan of zinc and some of the newest adds are calcium and boron. I think this is the future for the ZDDP replacement. It is also not new technology but improved technology from many years ago. Amazing how the more things change, the more they stay the same.
