I met those guys way back when they started, they asked if they could sell it in my shop and I was all for it. I am so glad that have had great success!!!
Very nice people, and Calendula is one of the ingredients and I swear by that stuff!!
It's also said that one should never use a product with Lanolin on your tattoo, especially when new and healing. The lanolin is supposed to draw color out. After my tats, I used aloe vera gel to keep it moisturized well. I never really did scab over, but did do some peeling, especially on my back.
As said before, use sunblock if in the sun a lot ... I got a HORRIBLE sunburn last spring and lost a lot of the color of my eagle and scenery on my back. One day, I'll have to go out and get more color added, I guess. Eventually I want to get more work done, but it's too spendy for right now.
Have any of y'all had any problems with bosses or such because you have tattoos? BuiltToughF250- I've already got several others planned after i get my first one finished.
A&D ointment works the best for me! Especially while it's still trying to heal, it does a good job of keeping crap out of there... after that, use regular body lotion for a while. I've got... 6. Yeah, six tattoos since I turned 18. I was thinking though, about the whole career thing before I did it. I got all my tattoos in places that are not likely to get fat, and easy to conceal. None on my arms or any of that business...
Just keep in mind that tattoos aren't for everybody. Even though you might think it is cool, there are other people that WILL judge you as irresponsible or something, JUST because you have one (or two...). For example, my Japanese teacher thought I was in a gang because she saw the one on my lower back and shoulder. I told her no, and she told us about how people with tattoos are not allowed in Japanese bath houses because usually, they are in a gang. Strange, isn't it? So the best thing is to try to stay relatively neutral about it (respectful of other people even if they aren't of you) and don't show anybody unless they ask... and not in the hallways at work!
The color issue... Mine still have pretty good color, and I go tanning occasionally. Bad idea if you have them and go tanning... You *should* put sunblock on them, or at least, if you use lotion with bronzers or "tingle" or "sizzle", DO NOT put it on a fresh tattoo! Even if it's been a year, the consequences can be really uncomfortable! I have one across my lower back and man... that was so itchy for DAYS!!! It's older now, but sometimes if I don't put on lotion in the winter, it'll still get dry and itch like crazy!!!

Never had an issue, but mine are easy to cover with just a t-shirt and a pair of pants. I plan on keeping it that way as were I work, somebody would probably freek if they were visible at all times. There is a gal here that has one on the back of her neck, and she has told me she gets grief every now and then, but she doesn't deal with any clients so she can get away with it.

*chuckle*
I didnt even post all of them It is a family site after all.
the lower back one was taken at a funny angle so you dont get it in that picture, but its a greenman...
most all of my other stuff is Polynesian.. I am currently sleeving my right arm all in Tahitian style.
Its hard to be in the biz and not get tattoed and ther perk of that is that I have been tattooed by some of the most talented artists from all over the world. Sinjin and I went to New Zealand to get some of our work done by a certain artist. The arm pics are mostly Maori with exception of the the two outer bands being celtic but they worked well with the design of my arm.
