Well, tonight before Tj and I took Slider over to the fabricator's place, we "psuedo-bolted" up the t-case to see where my twin sticks will come up, and in the process we realized that my t-case sites WAY low (refer to pictures). does anybody know if the D20 t-case can be clocked without a re-indexing ring??? PLEASE let me know.
UPDATE::: pickin it up from the fabricators today after work.... the front shaft is in, the tranny xmember is fabbed, and he modded my twin sticks for me a bit to elp with some clearance issues..... I need ot get a ujoint fer my rear d-shaft, b/c he ended up using a donor one.... and so all I'll need to do is fill up the fluids, mount the sihifter and the lines, and its ready to test!!! hopefully I'll get ir dun tonight!
I rolled it out tonight. and its done.... well.... ok, its driveable
There are a few problems that I need to address:
1) I need a new Dipstick Tube b/c this one leaks
2) It is not automatically shifting
3) It is not downshiftin to first when I come to a stop
4) It does not feel like its startin out in first gear
(I think 2-4 have to do with the valve body which may need rebuilt, b/c I over looked it in the original rebuildin stages *most looked-over part of a tranny rebuild*)
I LOVE the MegaShifter though. I will get some pictures up tomorrow when its light out. Thanks to all that helped me as I did this swap, I GREATLY appreciate it!
Good to hear it's done. Bet you can't wait to get it out to Tuttle!
yer right, and what sucks is I got it done TODAY, not yesterday oh well.... there's always next time.... there's people that are up for wheelin in our chapter often so I'll try and catch the next one.
Ryan, I'll ride with you next time, that way when something gets broken, I don't have to go home with my tail between my legs. Still was a lot of fun seeing what a SD could do without limited slip or lockers or special tire.
