Finally got my gallery set up 1960

I have been searching for a 60 F-100 for a long time. Found one on Ebay and even though the auction ended without reaching the minimum, I was able to negotiate directly with the seller. Seems he won it at a charity event for a 1.00 ticket. It has the original engine 223 cu in., odometer shows around 68,000 4 speed. I was looking for one to modify but it is rare to find one in such good condition and I think it may be worth more original than modified, especially when you consider the cost of the modifications. I guess I will have to find another one that I can modify. Thanks for looking and I will appreciate any comments.

Congratulations! What a beauty! I agree with you that anything that straight to start with is a no-brainer for restoration.

Gotta love that two-tone.

Good Luck. Oh, happy days!

Great color scheme! It is a very nice truck, I'm restoring a 1960 myself back to stock. Yours is in nice condition, and It'd have to be near perfect resto to be worth more than a nicely done modifed truck. I'll be honest with you, it takes alot of work to go back to stock!! Eitherway, have fun with it, -4speed

Thanks for the feedback

Pictures of the engine will be posted shortly. You are probably right about the color. Must have been the in color back then. Kinda like avocado green and burnt orange (gag). I would like to paint it another color but then I would be drifting away from stock.

Very nice truck. All it needs is to have the hubcaps painted the right color.

If you're looking for another color, perhaps something not so bold, you could probably find something nice even in the stock selection. There were a pretty good variety of colors available.
