Doea anyone have a handle on a real loud resonant noise that occurs at colder temperatures when accelerating? It seems to be loudest at 2500 rpms. Is not an exhaust leak. I have heard ,cold body-engine mounts that fail to dampen the vibration. I am thinking harmonic balancer? This is a loud sound, and can prevent you from hearing a passenger conversation, that is how loud it can be on a cold day. When I leave my warm garage it is fine but as the car cools down the noise starts. Acompanied by a vibration in the 5 speed shift handle and seats etc.

Hello I am working on it-going in to the dealer, again, tomorrow. I do not think they know how to fix it. May very well be the freezing resonator and for that there is not much of a fix. Will let you know. Any leads on your end? Andy B.
Hello ,About the Escape noise and other problems issue. It is highly influenced by cold, ALaska is pretty cold, so it is a big problem. Anyway, the next port of call on the repair log, is to drill drain holes in the muffler body. It seems the factory overlooked this item. Most all cars now have these things to allow for drainage . As water becomes a bigger and bigger component of cleaner exhaust emissions, I guess you just have to adjust. I'll withhold comment until the system has a chance to deep freeze and see what happens. Yours truly, Andy B
