Installing engine block heater
Hey all. I spent some time looking through lots of posts but didn't find my situation. I bought an engine heater for my '00 Ranger 3.0. Its the external tank type that heats and circulates the antifreeze. I'm trying to decide how to run the inlet (get antifreeze into it.) There's a couple different options in the instructions. #1 is to cut up my lower radiator hose and put a T in it. NO WAY! The other options are to thread a tap into the radiator drain (not likely with this plastic stopcock stuff) or to tap one of the engine block drains. I'd like to do the latter. Does this truck have block drains? Can't see 'em anywhere. Checked Haynes and Chilton, don't know why I bother. Or if you have other recommendations, I'd really appreciate hearing it. Thanks
