What's your favorite band (group, etc.)? For me, there's too many to list. Being here (S.F.) in the sixties, this was one of the meccas of counter culture, especially in the Haight and Ashbury District. For those of you 50+, you know what I'm talking about.
Name any group, band, etc. you want. From rap to classical. It's all good.
Well, I guess I'll have to give a partial list, so here goes:
Deep Purple
Ten Years After
Crosby, Stills and Nash (and Young)
Black Sabbath
Jimi Hendrix
Aum
Janus Joplin w/ Big Brother & the Holding Company
Savoy Brown
Jethro Tull
Yes
Traffic
Cream
Blind Faith
Pink Floyd
and so on..................................
OZZY
Godsmack
Disturbed
Guns & Roses
OZZY
Velvet Revolver
Green Day
Creed
Iron Maiden
OZZY
Black Sabath
Metallica
Skid Row
Black Label Society
OZZY
White Zombie
Rob Zombie
Megadeth
It's hard to find a favorite band anymore. Some of the best ones I have found, the music they play on the radio is the worst track on the cd.
I listen to anything from medium rock (MercyMe) to wicked heavy metal ( Rammsteine if I spelled it right). I can't stand rap, my old truck was set up to counter these little ricers that run around blasting that crap- dual exhausts right in front of the right rear tire, at window height. Oh yeah, nothing but turbo mufflers to quiet it too.
Dire Straits, Metallica, Journey, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Boston, Blackhawk, GooGoo Dolls, AC/DC, and CCR.

Most of sierraben's list would have worked for me years ago. Now, with raising a family, etc., I don't listen to music as much as I would like- but my tastes have changed. Now it's blues, classical, jazz, gospel, and accapella singing; in no particular order. Fav's include Winton Marsalis, Take 6, BB King.
