I had some 265/60R15 tires on my '81 flareside f100 and didn't have a problem with the wheels hitting, even with the worst wheelhop in history (any time you have wheelhop in second gear around a corner in the rain, its the worst in history). How tall are your tires?

No problems here, I've run 31x10.50's on the 82 for ages, and, they NEVER touched the inside of the fenders, and, I've been known to stuff the tires so far into the fenders that you can only see the rims... In the front, I get a bit of radus arm rubbing at full lock and, it rubs the inner fenders now and then when I'm imitating Ivan Stewart.....

Don't forget that the 2/4 drop will put the wheels about 1 in from the bottom of the fenders. Its not the front fenders i'm woried about cause the bump stop wil stop the rubber from hitting the fenders. But when i measured the back fenders for clearence the top of the fender flare will hit the tire. That warning i posted above is not for clearence problems but for people who drive on gravel roads (or roads similar) the wider tires will spit rocks and small debris back to the rear fenders and cause some really nasty cips that get worse with time.

P.S. I would have to check my tire size again cause i can't remember what size they are.

82' Flareside: zoom zoom doesn't even begin to describe it
