Dana 60 Fronts

I read on a website that Dana 60's weren't produced between 80-85. You could get a HP Dana 60 front in 79, but then not again until 86. Seemed a little odd to me as I have seen a few 80-85 F350's for sale and assumed they were Dana 60 fronts but maybe not?? So, were Dana 60 fronts put under F350 4x4's in the early 80's??

no. F350s were ttbs from 1980 to february 1985.

Yeah. they thought they would be a good idea to give heavy duty trucks a more decent ride quality. They switched them back to straight axles when snowplowers complained about them eating ball joints and tie rod ends too quickly.
