I have a 94 exlorer that is idling a little slow. It runs well, good milage, starts easily. I have 130K on it and have had very few problems. The manual says there is no adjustment. I'm I missing something, like a bad or dirty sensor or air valve, vaccume leak? It does idle smoothly, just slow.
Looking at the tach on the intrument pannel I would say close to 600 RPM. It's slow enough that the alternator drops out sitting at stop lights. I have the mannual transmission and made sure the clutch is not dragging.
i dunno it sound like it is running a little low bc my truck runs at about 750 -800 rpm is it skiping or sputering. i would check the iac sensor to see if that could be the culprtit IAC = idle air controler it could be sticking causing it to run low
