Hello, this is my first post... So ignore the blabbing!
Incase your interested, I have a 1950 Ford F-2. It has a 244 CID Flathead 8RT V8, and a 4 Speed crash box. It’s a dark maroon truck (originally Alpine Blue) that has a sky blue cab, and the rest of is gradually turning blue. The purists would kill me if they knew I was painting it with Rustoleum.
Anyway, my question is this:
I plan on wiring the under dash soon, but I wanted to brighten up the gauges while I was at it. I know I’ve seen those decals that you put on a rusted or faded gauge cluster to make it look better, but I can not find them anywhere. Does anyone know where to get these or what company makes them? Please tell me before I go bald!
Also, if anyone knows where I can find an F-2 cowl emblem in fairly decent condition, let me know. I’m missing one off the driver’s side.
Did you look at Mac's or L M C's catalog. I've seen them in several different repo dealers and last I knew the set was going for $45.00 . Look at Sacremento Vintage Ford's site, Dennis Carpenter.com for starters. I need just the speedo decal for several clusters I'm restoring and hate to but the set just for one. I may have to bite the bullet and get 3 sets.
Yeah, I've checked Dennis, and Mac's... pretty much all the big ones I could think of. I did order a catalog from L M C, and maybe I'll get lucky. Thanks man!
