Process of installing headers

Well right now I have my truck jacked up, tires off, and sprayed my manifold bolts with PB Blaster. I went out to dinner to let it sit, and came back to do the next step in instructions. I need to remove my spark plug wires, and I saw that I need to remove the connecter pipe. I am curious of how long Pb Blaster takes to get into affect. Just sprayed the bolts on the connecter pipe a few mins ago. Should I skip that step for tonight, and do the stuff that doesn't require being soaked in PB Blaster. Also I install my headers from below, which looks like a really tight squeeze. Im guessing I don't have to worry about removing any vaccume lines since I also remove the manifolds from below?

It is best to let PB blaster set overnight. It takes some time to penetrate into the threads to make things alot easier. Not sure what vehicle you are installing them on? When I did my headers on my 03' super duty V10, I took out the fender liners and worked mostly at them through there....It would have been inpossible to do it form underneath in my case......PLUS the V10 has 5 tubes per side so it was VERY TIGHT when trying to bolt them to the head.

Im installing them on a 91 F250 V8. I am guessing I should follow the insturctions and do what it says. About to start up working again in a few mins. Is it neccisicary to remove the spark plugs? And how long did it take you. Do you have a picture of what a EGR valve looks like. I am not quiet sure what it is.

I did not have to remove the plugs.....my V10 has no EGR. It took the better part of a weekend to do it. Usually the EGR comes out of the exhaust manifold itself, most of the time a large compression nut with metal tubing comming from it.

EGR valve...

Looks just like that, but it has a sensor(usually gray) on top with an electrical harness.
