Talking Spark Plugs

Just Kinda Wondering If Anyone Has Done This . My Bro In Law Has A 97 F150 5.4 With 140 K Miles And No Tune Up. He And I Wonder If Anyone Else Has Done This? Truck Still Runs Great. Cant Beat A Ford Can U. Only Oil Changes With Mobil 1. No Spark Plugs In All These Miles. Seems Incredible???

Yea, I think its time for new plugs and wires. Stick to the motorcraft replacement plugs, they seem to work best on these engines. Change the fuel filter too if you haven't already.

No offense meant here, but I'd say that's a recipe for stripped threads in the head, especially when the '97s have fewer spark plug threads than the newer mod motors.

Well, there is something called routine maintenance. It may run "fine", but I'm sure it will run better and MPG will increase with a tune up.
