im bout to put a 6 inch lift on my 96 bronco but i was told it would cause a bind because of the angle the front driveshaft will be at. will this happen and if so how can i fix it. also does anyone know of some good tires i can get for around $120 a piece. i need 35's.thanks
NO it will not cause any such bind. Not to mention the fact that the rear DS will present a geometry problem before the front one will... its shorter than the front one. Can't be much help with the tires.

dunlop mud rovers are a great cheap tire...35/12.5/15 are around 120 ea. The 6 in lift will(might) over extend your driveshaft and you may not have as many splines hitting as before..some people dont have problems with this but some do.. you may start to get vibrations.you can get your driveshaft extended the nessesary approx 3 inches for around 150-200 bux. As far as the angle you should be fine especially with the rear. Ive heard of some problems with the u joints binding when you try to turn full radius. Can't help you there the front driveshaft might be fine you will have to ask the driveshaft shop about that one. Don't forget you may also have to extend your wires for the 4x4 to the t-case but not sure. Brake line extension is a must if you are buying tuff country throw out the brake line drop brackets..just buy extended ones. Also you may want to regear if you dont have 3.55 gears now.. They will do i would recommend 4.10s or maybe 3.73's.

This would only be if you put a body lift on....a suspension just lowers the axles (or raises the bronco off the axles whichever way you look at it) but doesnt affect the transfer case from its location in relation to the switch like a body lift would.
I put a 6-inch pro-comp lift kit with 35's on my 95....haven't had any problems with it.
Just FYI....I was debating whether to put a 4, 6 or a 10 inch lift on it and now that I have the 6 and after driving my friends with a 4 and my f-250 with a 10 I am very glad I went the way I did.
The tires I put on mine was Bfgoodrich Mudders. Can't remember how much I spent on those, I got 5 and I think it was around $1000.
there is no 10" available for the bronco 8" is the highest
Anything can be done with custom applications. My friend was actually able to "manufacture" a 10 inch on a project f250 that I ended up keeping. I am not sure how or what different applications he used but it was definitley a 10 inch increase. And there was no body lift!
But you are correct straight out of the box 8" is the tallest suspension lift available. I stand corrected!

yes inkdawg your right good point there should be no electrical wiring problems i was wrong. 8" is biggest i know of and your best off with a SAS if you go hgiher..
i forget where i saw the gearing thing but if you have 31" tires and 3.55 gears now and you put 35's and 4.10's in...you axel revolutions will remain just about the same or however that works...so basically it should drive like it does now. personally 4.56 and 4.88's are too low if it is a daily driver vehicle. Just my opinion..
by the way alot of people put 6" lifts on and dont extend the driveshafts and have no problems...try this too http://www.superlift.com/information/faq.asp go to question #6. it just depends on the truck and tires and w/e
thanks guys yall were a really big help. i went with maxxis buckshot mudders and im happy with my choice. i didnt think about gear ratios and i guess i need to look into it

also f250 would be leaf sprung making them easier to lift that high. and there are some manufacturers that have 10" lifts for that application.
bronco/f150 & F250/350s are totaly different suspensions so you cant compare one to the other
