subs are too loud???

just got it all installed today, Alpine 9835 HU, 2 12 alpine subs, and M-501 Alpine Amp!!!

but when i drive down the road i feel like the music is sooo loud that it may be bad for my truck (Explorer 1999)...i love the music but could some stuff get messed up by cranking up the volume too much/ too often?

Thanks.
Dan

The only thing you might do is loosen a few screws/bolts with the vibration, but it would take a while. Unless you have it just screaming then it probably wont even affect the engine bolts, with the newer vehicles like yours that have clips rather than screws, the only thing youll have to worry about is small squeaks, but if you do get some then sound dampening material will quiet/stop them. Hope that helps.
Also, worry about how it will hurt you first, really loud music can drive you to go deaf.

Subs too loud? That's like having too much horsepower......it's never enough!
But you don't want to end up with a hearing aid, so be carefull....

the guy that did my system has 4 alpine 12's in his explorer 2 door, and the only problem he's ever has was the sun roof dripping...... then again he had the subs so you could hear it almost 1/4 mile away

nah, i got loud. i was helping a friend of mine tune his system for a competition (94 s-10 with 5 15's and 22,000 watts) we popped his sunroof off and one of the hinge pins in the door worked its way out. and then there was the time when one of his seat belt bolts worked his way out. then there is the drywall screws that are coming out of his drywall in his garage, and the list just goes on and on. but this is from a vehicle that easily hits 160db.

160 AC? Not on the term right? 160 on the Term breaks things. Like windshields, door frames, and ppl.

My buddy has all but destroyed his windshield and roof (huge t shaped rip) in his exploder in the 160's running 4 Inhumans. Dont know how your buddy is lucky enough to keep his.

155 on the ac (very tight), with four Bahns will still move the windshield out 1/2 inch and the bottom in the middle. The glass is cracked all to hell. So much damage was done running the inhumans it was worth the effort of continuing competing and bolting in plexi. Still fun to beat the daylights out of some Bahns, cheap as they are who cares if they blow. Tuned to high to daily, imo, not like you'd want to be seen in that ride daily lol.

Nice number....congrats.

he doesn't have his winshield sealed on so it will pop out before it breaks. also we keep the door open (we do it MECA style). if we kept the door closed (db drag style) the sunroof would pop off and winshield will pop out. now we just gotta get my truck loud while still sounding good
