Unless you can find a set dirt cheep I'd probably just buy a new set of aluminum heads. By the time you pay for them, have them worked over & buy all the new parts, I'd do the math and see just where I was on the deal. You can buy them ready to bolt on or bare.

Sorry guys for my ignorance I thought aussie heads were heads from aussie LOL I have three different types 1; open chamber 2v 2; closed chamber 2v 3; closed chamber 4v. Learn somthin every day hey. The closed chamber heads have dual valve springs but the open chambers are only single. The closed chamber 2v heads have polished ports and the valve rocker seats have the ajustable studs different set up to the other heads. Any how getting off the subject here ol mate wants to find some aussie heads well plenty here but costly there is a shop in Perth called SUPAROO look it up on the net they have everything for old Aussie ford v8s

It's a pity freight is such a killer, I have 3 or 4 sets of these just laying around collecting dust. I just bought an entire virgin bore closed chamber 302 for a box of beer.
