aussie head question

What are the aussie heads like stock? Do they have a very close chamber to valve? The reason I ask is if the valves need to be unshrouded like other 351-400 heads then you would be removing some chamber cc and drop the cr.

Here is a link for porting 335 heads. There is no mention of unshrouding the valves. In fact the only thing that I ever heard about Cleveland valves being shrouded is the 2.19" intake valves on 4V Clevelands being shrouded by the cylinder wall. This is not the case with 351C-2V, 351M/400 or Aussie heads.

the aussie heads will respond to unshrouding, but you can open up the chambers if you want to anyway. or do you not want to open them up and keep the CR high?

The reason I would want to unshroud them is to both allow for clearance,( I've read that there should be 3/16" around the valve) and to brning down the cr a little.
