I have a 2004 F-150 Screw and I have just replaced the factory unit with an Alpine CDA-9830 and I put Pold db 570's in the front doors and Alpine SPS-570A in the rear doors. (I also have an i-pod unit attached to new head unit) I want to make the sound a little more balanced by adding a sub. It does not have to rattle all the windows but I want it to compliment the existing sound. I also want to make sure that it is not visible, as in putting it under the driver side rear seat. Now here is the kicker, I would like to spend less than $200, actually I was thinking more about $150 and i am doing my own install. This may not be realistic but that is where I am at on this right now. Thanks for any input.
It's going to need to be a small enclosure. I know that Q-Logic makes a custom fit enclosure for under the driver side rear seat, and it only has an internal volume of .65 cubic feet.
With that limitation in mind, you can make your own enclosure that should have about the same amount of cubic volume space. Then you can go with a sub like one of the following:
The 3 subs above will run with a .65 enclosure, and are all less than 100 bucks. You will need to make the enclosure yourself, otherwise you'll go over your budget you've set.
