4X2 to 4x4 solid axle

hey i know you guys have probably gotten this question before but I thought I'd ask anyway. I'm looking into converting my '80 F-250 to 4x4, not going to use the easy bolt in TTB, and I either want a dana 44 HD or a dana 60. So, anyway what years of trucks would I beable to get the straight axle off of so that I won't have to move the spring perches. Also if I get one that isn't the same how hard is it to move the perches.

You want a Dana 60 from an '85.5 to 98 F350. Bolt on. 91 and older have the desired heavy duty kingpins instead of balljoints.

yea any of the axles from 1986-88 F-350 with dual rear wheels, 1988-91.5 F-350 with single rear wheels, 1992-95 F-350, 1996.5-98 F-350 is what you wanna look for. there are others that will work but those are the best. and it will be a bolt in! look in my gallery for a very short rundown of how it's done. all the holes and all should be there as Ford used the same frames for 2x4 and 4x4.
