Have a 93 F250 with 460, no heat, blend door appears to work, need new heater core. I have the cover bolts from the inside of the cab off. How do I disassemble it further? Do I pry off the two vaccuum lines on the bottom of the cover? And how do you disconnect the control cable that runs the blend door from the top of the cover, or is there enough room to sneak out the core without disconnecting anything. I don't want to bust anything I don't have to. Thanks for the tips.
i have searched forums and there does not appear to be any talk of how to remove what appears to be a glued black case where i believe the core is housed. i removed 5/16" nuts and an outer black case but the inner case is holding pretty fast. i even cracked it some around the 7/16 nuts at the bottom where it attaches trying to pry it open. Anyone who can shed some light on this or these ?
i just got off the phone with auto store and the genteman mentioned that
alot of times there is a very sticky sealer that the casing is assembled with - and the key is to pry it open just enough to remove and replace the coil. good luck, i will check back later but i am off to see what i can break next (ha). He mentioned my minor crack is no big deal and can be repaired with epoxy.
