1.On my 94 7.3 Turbo if the CMP goes open will this effect the circuit that cycles the gp relay or turns the "wait to start" light on?
2. Could a bad IPR cause engine to shut down instantly and disable the gp relay or "wait to start light"?
the question belongs on the power stroke forum. those items are the cam position sensor and the injection pressure regulator. I dont know if those sensors will affect the wait to start light or the cycling of the glow plugs. All sensors in the psd engines work in a series and are read by the ecm.
Sorry folks, this is my first ford desiel. The guy at the ford house told me it was not a psd. I have a 94 F350 5 speed manuel trans. On the cowling over top of engine it says direct injection turbo. On the valve cover it says it is part of the DIT family. No where on the truck is the word psd.The fuel filter is on top under the cowling toward the front of engine. I guess I have posted in the wrong place, maybe i'll figure this out?
