I begged and pleaded for Dennis to re-open the forum, so now is ya'll's chance. I'm in the St. Louis area and have declared myself Interim Chapter Chief of Missouri. First order of business is to have a meeting. While I don't expect those from the KC area or Springpatch, er, Springfield , or Kennett to make the trip, I welcome all St. Louis area FTE'ers to my place around noon. Ivan is coming down from the Northeast Chapter (off-road forum poser er, poster...) to watch his sister lift weights on Saturday, but he'll be over on Super Bowl Sunday, and since none the Rams ain't playin, I ain't watchin til I see another wardrobe malfunction. We can chat with him about the NE Chapter and what they do. If none of you have any other plans, we can have a kinda-sorta first official meeting of the Interim Mo Chapter at my place.

Please don't make FTE sweat anymore.

I would like to make sure that the people in Missouri know that one of the places that is being considered to be chosen for the National (Plus) FTE meet this year (if it goes for sure) is Missouri.

Alright, I'll help out and say I'll nominate Momudder to be the Missouri Chapter leader...

I may just be able to come down for the meeting, if not, can I appear by phone? It's a 4 hour drive from here, but nothing compared to Ivan's....

 

That may be a problem, as I don't yet have a phone hooked up in the shop yet...but what I'll do is post meeting minutes afterwards right here.

What's going on here? The chapter gets locked up and only a handful of guy's try to get it open again, but when it reopens people come in and start posting again without even paying attention to this thread. I will second fellro's nomination.

 

Depending on the day, I may be able to make it. Just let me know in enough advance time to see if I can take off work. Better then a 3 hour drive for me. But yes I would hate to see this chapter close just after I joined it. Keep us informed!!!

 

I paid attention, do I get a prize for that? . I will admit I had not noticed it was closed as I dont get as much time on here as I should, work has been keeping me real busy lately. But I will do what I can to help keep it going, just keep me informed to what I can help with!

Im in Lowry City, just off Truman lake. About an hour south of K.C. Or an Hour north of Springfield. So if anyone is in this area either south or north, we can hook up for a follow the leader trip over to St Louis.

I think that the major issue has been a lack of actual MO member get togethers. People would be more likely to actively post if they knew who they were talking to or had things to look forward to. IMO.

Also, is there anywhere we can post this to get to people that don't come to this part of the forum? I'm assuming we can in the general thread, but nowhere else...
