99 Expy high Engine Oil Usage

For the last 9 months my 99 4.6L Expy is using about a quart of engine oil a month. It isn't leaking, at least that I can tell, so I assume it being burned in the engine. The dealer tells me that Ford "expects" oil usage to be about a quart every 800 - 1500 miles. I never added a quart for the first three years, now I have to add a quart every month.

Anyone seeing this oil usage?

most common cause would be you are not riding the engine hard enough you need to really get on that pedal and let it rev out when driving the mods love to rev

I have a 99 4.6. I use a quart about every 2000 miles. I have 93k on it now.

Same Here! I've got a 99 4.6 and burns about a quart a month! Only started after about 60,000. Have 95K now

Ford told me the same thing, i'm also burning about a quart a month. didn't start until after 65k i now have 84k. 98 EB 4.6, why is that??? i am soft on the pedal and do alot of city driving...
