I just put new rubber on my truck 32x1150r15 Les Schwab Wildcat All Seasons.
this is probably a question for the people of the North West.
What I want to know is whats the difference between these and the Mickey Thompson MTXs???? They look, for the most part, identical other than the price. What am I missing?
I don't know about the Wildcat's in particular but I had Les Schwab Wildcountry's on my truck, 33's and they were a great tire for an all terrain tire. If the Wildcat's are anything like them you'll be happy.
My guess is the brand name, sonce les Schwab doesn't really manufacture tires. We've got Wild countries on the '93 and have been real happy with them (for the last 60K miles or so). Good all-around tire. Glad you mentioned it- we're coming up on tires again soon.
I like'em, when I read the specs of the MTX and the light came on, they look remarkably like the Wildcat.
Arn't the tires from Les Schwab made by Toyo (I know the Open Countrys and a few others are).
I really wanted 33s but couldnt fit them under the front so I stuck with the 32s, the night I got them I went out onto a few muddy and slick ditch bank roads and the tires were flawless, they out performed the Wild Country Tractions that were on there previously.
goes to show you don't always need name brand tires to do what is needed
what tread pattern are they. the at im thinking of in wildcats sucked. but they seem to change ever week. so there probably different than the ones ive run before.
hey Polarbear those are freaky never seen them in a Les Schwab store,
they look a little weak compaired to the ones on my p.u.
I'm trying to figure that out myself. I've got Wild Country RVT's on the truck right now, but they're completely different from what Schwab is showing presently (they're about 3 1/2 years old, and are pushing 60k miles).
Any tire with "Wild Country" in the name is probably a Multi-Tire. They brand them for many smaller merchants that do not actually make their own tires.
"If you can find this tire cheaper anywhere else we will beat the price by 10%".
Oh yea, we forgot to tell you we are the only ones that will have a Wildcountry ZYXBD2 Extreme Traction in stock because we pay for that name to be put on a regular Wild Country XTX carcass.
