I know that the intake on my truck is not original. My Dad installed it and I don't know where he got it. Is it possible to tell what it came from by it's numbers? If so here is the number on the front of the manifold.
Yes, it could have come from the 410. Just because it has a Tbird number, it could have been shared between the FE motors. I don't have the Mercury parts catalogs, so I can't verify that. It would make sense that if he took the V/c's, he'd probably remove the manifold also.
Was over in another forum and some guy was trying to tell everyone that it was only available in 67. I posted that my truck came with one from the factory and someone else told me that it could not have. Those guys over in 67-72 are not even as good as the group here in 61-66. hahaha
The 352 came out in 1958 and they were used until 1967. They were only used in trucks from 65-67 and in 68 the trucks got a 360 but the cars did not have a direct replacement for the smaller dispacement engine. Hawkrod
In my parts books, they still listed the 352 for parts up into 1971, so it was still being used. THe 360 became the popular setup, so the 352 was not. You are technically correct on the 1958 date, but that was for cars, not trucks. 65 was the first year in trucks.

Sorry barry, your book is incorrect. The 352 ceased production after 1967. The last engine code for a 352 is a Y which of course became the same code for the 360 in 1968. The parts book may show parts fitting to 71 becasuse the same parts were used in 352-360-390 but look in the front of the parts book in the warantee tag information section under engines and look for 352. You will only find two listings. There is a D code and Y code and you will note that the D code is for the earlier trucks and Y code was used for 67 352 but 68 360. Ford did not replace the 352 as a service engine after 67 as well as they sold the 360 as a direct reolacement. Hawkrod
OK, I went back and researched a little farther. You're right about 67 being the last year. Yes, many of the parts do interchange thru the FE years. I had to re-think the way I did back when I was in Ford parts. You don't think logical, you think the way the Ford Engineers do.
