65 Color
Hello,
I've got a 65 F-100 and I'm trying to find out the original paint color. The code is 8M? All the VIN decoder sheets don't tell me what the 8 stands for, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Let me first second teh welcome aboard!
You got me on the "8" designation, but the "M" is Corinthean White. What color is the truck now? Is it set up as a two tone? Has it been re-painted? Post up the complete door tag info, maybe we can pull something out of our hats for you

Here is the complete list...WB / 115, COLOR / 8M, MODEL F100, BODY / D81, TRANS / G, AXLE / 08. I think the truck is a Custom Cab and it's been painted what looks like canary yellow. The truck does have all the holes in the body for the chrome but was filled in before We bought it. Would love to find out the original color and re-paint again. Although the truck is far from stock.

Heres the breakdown of your codes you provided...color...8= yellow(used 65-7), M is Wimboldon White as noted above WB-115...shortbed truck
Its an F100(model), Body-D81, The D is a Lt beige crush vinyl and medium beige ladder pattern woven plastic. The 81 denotes conventional cab truck.
Axle-08 is 3.50 ratio,Trans is 3 speed A/T...CruiseMatic

Custom Cab is a package...popular ... heres what it consists of:
bright grille,windshield moldings,C/C script on doors,headliner retainer molding..around dors,horn ring,door trim panel molding(inside),door scuff plates,dash moldings(3 strip pieces),color keyed seat...woven plastic mat'l,armrests,vinyl floormat,color keyed strg wheel/column to match seat,full foam seat cushion,perforated headliner,sun visors,tutone dash board,cigar lighter and bright plastic instrument cluster...this is the cluster with the sweep speedo and may or may not have the extra alt and oil pres. gauges

Hey FTE, I have the same question except this refers to a 66 f100. I'm in the process of purchasing a 66 f100 and I'd like to know what the original color is as well. It's about 90% origianl (pics in my gallery) and I'd like to repaint it the original color if I buy it and decide to restore it. What does this info mean (got it off of the drivers door)?
F10yr804928-warranty/color-M/body-E81/trans-C or G (hard to tell what the letter is).
