Lead foot+3000lbs cargo+tire hop+390 4v= Blown motor mount, lol
Now I am looking at hows this going to get fixed and I thought I'd come here to pick up some tips n'tricks from the gurus of FTE that might make the job easier.
Another question..... Since I'm pretty sure tire hop killed the mount how would I go about reducing tire hop?? Allotta times I gotta peel some rubber to get the job done so it's something I can't really abstain from,
It may not need saying but here goes anyway: when putting the jack under the oil pan to jack the engine, be sure to put a block between the pan and the jack. A family idiot [not me] didn't use a block and punched a hole in the pan and then pushed it up into a crankshaft journal. Also pay attention to what's between the top, rear of the engine and the firewall as the engine is raised.
I guess I am as dumb as a chicken, but what in the hello are you trying to burn rubber with a 3000 lb load. You are lucky that a mount is all you broke?
