Interesting question. What constitutes "user friendly for a 16 year old" makes it intriguing. I can't imagine how a 15+ year old frame under a 50+ year old body helps a teenage driver. Just kidding. I know that safety is foremost in your mind and think it is noble and right thinking. Seems a mammoth task, frame swapping. Consensus here is it's simpler to upgrade brakes and suspension than going with an all out frame swap.
Please don't take this as a negative, however. We would all like to understand the details of a frame swap... the question arrives monthly. You'd get the best support in the world from knowledgeable builders and if you documented the build we'd all be the better for it. enthusiastically, himmelberg
i have a chance to buy a 52 f1 and was wondering what newer frame would fit under it to make it more user friendly for my 16 yr old.
What would make it more user friendly is a modern engine, transmission, brakes, steering, and rear end...all of which can be done within the confines of the original frame.
