evans cooling systems pros or cons

has anyone heard of or are you using evans cooling systems?http://www.evanscooling.com/main7.htm they claim it is a low pressure system, with a higher boiling point, and no cavitation in a diesel motor with no additives. tested for over 400,000 miles with very little breakdown, and good for 1,000,000 miles. little pricey at over $20.00 a gallon, but if no cavitation, would be cheap insurance. lot cheaper than a rebuild. they claim it will easily run at 280 degrees without boiling, but to what oil temps. also has a lower freezing point. hopefully someone is using this and can give me some feedback, good or bad.

Thumbs up evans coolent

Hi
I have been using Evans sence I put in A rebuilt engine in my 88 F350 its been 5 years now. I think that it is the best thing I have done to help the old girl last for the rest of life and probly past that. I run with no pressure in my systm at all I have had it on A long steep hot pull And I do mean hot about 115 Deg. hot pulling A 5th wheel that is at lest 14500 Lbs got up to about 165 at top of grade pulling 1200 Deg exhust temp 12 Lbs boost. That was 25000 miles ago I have 50000 on it now no problems at all Roy G Johannsen

Thanks For The Reply. I've Been Looking At It, Sounds Good. I Live In The Central Valley Of Ca. I Also Tow A Fifth Wheel, 24' W/ Slideout, On A Grade That Is Over 6 Percent, On Days Between 100 And 110 Outside Temps. My Truck Runs Hot, Pegs The Temp Needle But Never Boils Out Coolant (gauge Has To Be Wayyyy Off). I Kept Running Across This Site When I Was Doing My Propane Injection And It Sounded Too Good To Be True, Little To No Pressure, No Cavitation (no Need For Additives) And Can Run Hotter With No Boilover. Also Lower Freezing Point For Those In Cold Climates. I Was Thinking If It Stops Cavitation, It Would Be Well Worth The Investment. By The Way, '91 F-350 Crew Cab Dually, W/ '93 7.3 Banks Sidewinder Turbo, 1/4 Turn Up On Fuel Pump, Ts Propane Injection Installed Not Test Driven Yet, 4eod Trans. Banks Trans Command, Us Gear Aux. Trans. 100 Gallon Transfer Flow Aux. Tank, Ram Air Intake, And Thats Just The Powerplant Mods., If I Haven't Forgotten Any. Looks Like It May Cost About $150.00 Plus For The Conversion, But Should Save On Hoses, Radiator, Water Pump, Etc. With No Pressure In System. Think I'll Give It A Try. Thanks

Evans coolant

I have thought about using Evans coolant also. You would have to get ALL the old coolant and water out of the block as it does not mix with water. As I understand, there are no drain valves in the block so how would you do that?

I Saw That They Had A Flush That You Run Through The Motor To Get It Out, But About The Drains In The Block I Do Not Know.

Hi
There are two block drains one on each side it is A plug with A square on the end I think it is 1/4" or 3/8" Just unscrew them than flush it out Than blow it out with A air hose if you have one also be shure to flush out the heater than you fill with Evans bring it up to 260 Deg. with cap off of the Rad. let the water steam out Roy

Very interesting, have visited the web site, sounds like a great product. The no cavitation is a great bonus. Has anyone else had experiance? All replies/and advice would be appreciated.

I have experience with it, but not in a diesel.....

I have an 89 mustang GT with it in it, I cant get that car hot no matter how hard I try,I can remove the rad cap at operating temperature If Iwant, because NPG+ doesnt run pressurized.

Evans coolant is the real deal IMO, go for it, but its spendy, make sure you have no leaks first
