Fix Shift Fork or Replace Tranny?

I have a little bit of a problem. I have a 97 5 speed F-150 and my second gear shift fork snaped in December. What should I do, fix the shift fork or replace the whole tranny? I live in Montana and you put a lot of miles on your vehicle in a year. My truck has 159,316 miles on it right now, and it is just sitting outside freezing in our cold snaps. I also take it offroading once and a while. So if you could please help me out with deciding on what would be the best thing to do, that would be great! Thanks!

If the transmission was working well before the shift fork problem and it you're sure that's all that's wrong with it then I would just replace the fork.
