detroit lockers make the racheting sound when turning because they un lock when your turning so you dont break axle shafts spools and mini spools permanetly lock both axles and thats when you break axles unless you spend the money on mosier axles i have a detroit locker in the rear of my mud bogger which is a corporate 14 full floater 10-1/2 '' and i have a mini spool in my front axle corporate 10 bolt i have to unlock a hub if im trying to turn on hard surface so i dont break stuff i run 44 inch swampers
