steering damper leaking
I have a 2003 f350 cc drw 6psd buid date 11jun03..I noticed a wet spot under front of truck and found steering damper was dripping fluid[has stopped now]]has anyone else had this problem? I have an extended warrenty,so I guess its covered.What causes this?..Karl

I doubt the steering stabilizer is covered under the extended warranty. Your best bet is to replace it with a heavy duty one, such as a Rancho RS-5406. this stabilizer is almost twice the size of the original equipment part.

Welcome to club, I'm on my fourth one and it just leaked out about two weeks ago. Ford replaced the first three for free. I lost three of them between 10,000 and 34000 miles. This last one has lasted about 23,000 miles.
