Moving my chip
Last week my 2000 PSD F250 was totaled in an accident. Yesterday I purchased a new (to me) 2001 PSD F250. I want to swap the chip from my 2000 to my 2001. Can I do this? I'm thinking that Ford has a couple diffrent computer codes so the chip may not match up. My old chip has a code on it but I can find the code to my new truck (the sticker on the door jam is gone).
Also, I'm almost this is ok...but will my 4" exhaust swap from one to the other? Both are short bed 4x4?

the code is also on the PCM case. you need to find out what your new code is then call the mfgr of your chip and ask them if the codes are compatible (some are) if they are not then they may be able to reburn it for you
