96 Explorer: Adding air horns

We got some air horns from Harbor Freight. Does anyone have installation recommendations? I'm thinking of adding to the current horn so it triggers a relay that starts the compressor for the air horns.

Where is a good place to mount the horns?

Where is a good source of power to run a wire to the compressor?

thanks,
Bryan

For power supply, run a wire from the battery + connection on the starter solenoid that's on the fender. Don't forget to put an in-line fuse of the appropriate rating very close to that connection. Depending on how your relay is set up, you may or may not be able to tie into the existing horn. Some relays get the power for the signal side from the power side supply. If it does this you'll have to switch to ground, therefore the horn as a signal won't work. However, if it has a separate connection for the + side of the signal on the relay, you can simply run the - signal to ground and use your horn as a + signal.
