Steering Problem/shudder Help!

My power steering shudders when I turn at low engine RPM's. There is plenty of power steering fluid.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Mine is doing the same thing. Have you found out what the issue is yet? Maybe you can point me in the right direction.

There was two different TSB's on this issue. One was simply a PCM reprogram (this actually fixed my 02 sport trac), the other was a higher flow pump, different cooler and maybe something else I can't remember. If you take it to a Ford dealer make sure to tell them to check for TSB's (they may look at you offensively, but it is your money).

pump problems

I have a 96 4x2 XLT.
My pump did not shudder, but it whined.
I sucked out the old juice and put in new.
That seemed to fix it.
It might take a couple of tranfusions to get it all.
