two solenoids?

two solenoids?

what r the two solenoids ontop of the motor, i know the one under the fuel filter cover is for the glowplugs whats the one behind it closer to the firewall for? and also how do u test to see if there working? thanks in advance for info

The other relay is for the intake air heater, it should have a lead that's always hot. For the GPR you're just looking for 12v. out with the key on.

I have heard a little about the intake air heater, where is it located? Just curious.

its in the intercooler plumbing (on my 99). It it is the ''cold'' side, in other words the
side in which the intercooler feeds the cool air through the aluminum intake. You can
see it inside of the manifold if you pull the boot off.
