code reader for 94 e350 460
I have a work van,use to be a ryder moving van,with 460 and efi with 237000 miles on it..The only thing I have done on it is install a banks power pack and trans command and replaced the "hooter valve" on top of the engine..something to do with the air mixture when it is cold...Anyway,I know in a bit that with the mileage it has that it will start flashing codes and I want to be able to diagnois and fix it myself..One thing I know I need is a code reader..any sponser suggestions for such an item...This van has been a wonderful vehicle, I just want to be able to fix it when the time comes..Mike

Do a site search for "code reader" . Autozone or Kragen has code readers for OBD1 Ford vehicles for about $40. I think '94 might be a crossover year where some models went to OBDII , but can't recall for sure.
If your vehiicle is OBDI, don't pay more than $50 for a reader, unless it also does OBDII.
