Efi conversion on 84 351w

Hello fellow Ford enthusiasts,
I have a 1984 F-150 super cab 4x4 with a 351w and a C6 transmission. Due to the lack of power, I replaced the stock intake manifold and electronic feedback carburetor (what a unbelievably complicated vacuum hose and egr system that Ford designed) with an edlebrock performer and holley 600 cfm carb. I also put on long tube headers. The difference was like night and day and my gas mileage actually improved (albeit very slightly). Unfortunately the smog police are now going to lower the hammer on my truck. I'm thinking that the best and easiest way to fix this problem is to convert the engine to electronic fuel injection. I'm planning on removing the upper and lower intake manifolds off of a 88 to 92 351 efi and putting them on my truck. I think I'll also need the wiring harness and computer and sensors along with somehow upgrading the fuel pump from mechanical to electric. Will I need two electic fuel pumps because I have dual tanks? Would I need to do anything special to the transmission (since I believe the efi motors come with the aod instead of the c6)? Will I still need a smog pump and if so can I use my old one? Do I need to convert the belts to a serpentine setup or can I use my old v belts? Has anyone out there performed such an operation and if so, is it feasible? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I love this truck. Please help me save it from the dreaded smog police.

yes you'll need a low pressure tank in each tank, all the wiring for it, the automatic switching valve, inertia switch, i would say get this stuff of a 85 or 86 truck since its the same bodystyle, also get the transmission tv cable off the donor truck and any bracket this will hook up your trans kickdown linkage, c6uses the same arm as the c6 and all your v belt accesories will rmeain unchained, no real need to remove them to install the efi intake, dont forget the bracket that supports the upper efi plenum it conects to the exhaust manifold stud and supports the plenum, its very havey and lop sided, seemed a heavy jolt that way could break its small bolts right out
