I have some headman headers. They aren't the ceramic coated type. They are about a year old and beginning to show some real surface rust. I'll be taking the motor out shortly and was thinking about painting them. I was going to go with Por15's high heat paint in factory gray enamel color. http://www.por15.com/hightempcoatings.html#FactoryManifoldGray
I thought I'd ask if anyone knew of any other better products. Por15 paint becomes similar to powder coating in hardness and the headers don't have to be sand blasted before their painted.
Thanks,
Tony
Why not just have them ceramic coated? We had ours done inside and out for about $140. Sent them off to Performance Coatings and had 'em back in 2 weeks. We're going to use the POR for the block, but with as tight as everyting is gonna be under the hood, didn't want to take a chance with the headers.

Well the price is part of the reason. $140 might not sound high for the quality of the job, but I think that Por might be similar in hardness and would cost about $20. Plus I can't really have the truck off the road for 2 weeks. 1 week maximum.
Thanks for the thoughts.
Anyone out there with experience using Por high heat coating?
