charge light stays on
hey, im new to these boards, but i find them very helpful, i have a 1982 f15o, my question is, the "charge" light on my dash stays on, i replaced the alternator, voltage regulator, and the battery, its all charging good, putting out the right voltage, but the light stays on, anybody know wahts goin on?

Are you positive it's charging? You are getting something like 13 volts on the battery when running, and 12 volts when the truck is stopped? I just can't figure out how the light could be on, and it is still charging. If the wire going to the "I" terminal on the regulator was rubbing ground somewhere, it would cause the light to come on, but it probably wouldn't charge. Maybe the regulator is defective. Check those voltages on the battery again.
