82 F-150 is the culprit. i've just swapped in an 89 5.0 into the truck, correct firing order, has oil, no torque converter knock (leaving the torque nuts loose, i've pulled this genius stunt 2 times) it idles a little on the high side of the spectrum and rattles.
I'm not sure what it is. i did pull the dizzy out and put the older style dizzy back in (one from early 80's era compared to the tfi from later models). i'm certain i've got the oil pump shaft in the pump, because last time it made a medium loud knockin' sound when i managed to drop the shaft in the oilpan. (father pulled that stunt for me, in his infinite wisdom.):-( i'm stumped here guys, any help will be appreciated, gotta get er running before that new hurricane gets here.
