spark problems with the expy??

i have an 01 eddie baurer expy with a triton v8, 5.4L, but its been in the shop more than my 1979 f100! first it was the coils as they call them, indiviadual coils for each spark plug, then it was the tranny, then the engine again, and again. i would like to find out if mine is a lemon, or if other people have had these problems with theirs. i got it used with 36k miles on it, and it wasnt 3 k after that the tranny started slipping, but they wouldnt cover it under warranty till it broke. so finally at 72k it fell out on my way to skool. to beat it all they only replaced the broken part, while the others are still the stock ones. instead of a brand new tranny, its a brand new 1st gear. i still have problems with the engine and tranny, but im about to trade it in on sumtihn.
